Ingredients :

  • Sorghum flour
    - 100
  • All purpose flour(Maida)
    - 100
  • Black cumin seeds( Kalajeera)
    - 3 gm
  • Carom seeds (Ajwain)
    - 1 gm
  • Salt
    - 0 as per taste
  • Oil
    - 0 for frying

Preparation Method :


  • Take a plate, mix Sorghum flour, Maida, ajwain, black cumin, light hot oil (20 ml).
  • Mix the whole thing very well, then add required water to knead a semi-tight dough.
  • When done, divide the dough into equal small size ball.
  • Take one (keep the rest covered), roll it out as a thin chapati.
  • Fold to form a semi-circle, fold it once again to form a triangle.
  • Shape the other portions out in a similar way.
  • Heat oil in a pan or kadhai. fry the nimkis in batches, in a single
  • layer, until golden brown.
  • Drain the oil off and remove on plate.
  • Serve it as evening snacks with tea.
