Ingredients :

  • Pearl millet (Bajra) flour
    - 150 gm
  • All purpose flour(Maida )
    - 150 gm
  • Curd
    - 200 gm
  • sugar
    - 350 gm
  • Green cardamom
    - 5 -6 pc
  • baking soda
    - 3 gm
  • Oil
    - 0 for frying
  • Food colour
    - 1 /8th tsp

Preparation Method :


  • Take all purpose flour (Maida), Pearl millet (Bajra) flour and baking soda in a bowl.
  • Add curd and water in to it. Mix well and make a thick and slightly flowing consistency batter.
  • To make the sugar syrup, add sugar and water (1:1 ratio) to a vessel.
  • Boil on a medium flame until it attains one string consistency.
  • Add crushed green cardamom in sugar syrup and stir well. Heat oil in a pan o ver medium flame for deep frying.
  • Fill the Jalebi batter in a sauce/chutney bottle.
  • Mo ve the batter gently in circular from inside to outside to make perfect circles.
  • Fry till Jalebis are crisp.
  • Soak the Jalebis in warm sugar syrup for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now remove from the syrup and place on a tray and serve.
