FINGER MILLET (RAGI)

Ingredients :

  • Ragi flour
    - 250 gm
  • All purpose flour (Maida)
    - 250 gm
  • Fresh grated coconut
    - 300 gm
  • Sugar
    - 120 gm
  • Green cardamom powder
    - 3 gm
  • Cow Ghee
    - 50 gm
  • Salt
    - 0 as per taste
  • Oil
    - 0 for frying
  • Poppy seeds
    - 10 gm
  • Semolina (Suji)
    - 15 gm
  • Black pepper powder
    - 3 gm

Preparation Method :


  • Take ghee in a pan and put suji, slightly roast it and keep aside
  • Add some ghee in a pan, add crushed green cardamom, grated coconut , sugar and poppy seeds
  • Heat it on a low flame and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes till it becomes little dry
  • Add roasted suji and stir continuously
  • Add green cardamom powder and continue heating on low flame for another 1 minutes
  • Put this mix aside in a bowl and let it cool
  • In a another bowl mix Maida (all-purpose flour), Ragi flour and salt
  • Take a small pan and heat ghee till it becomes light warm
  • Pour the light warm ghee into the mix flour
  • Mix the ghee with a spoon. Rub and mix the ghee with the flours, with your fingertips to form a bread crumb like texture
